Background

According to Damac Digital, its landbank for IT capacity has now crossed 6,000 MW in more than 13 countries and more than 35 locations worldwide.

The company, headquartered in Dubai, is fully owned by Damac Group and is looking to increase its footprint due to growing demands for artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and sovereign digital infrastructure. Its landbank now spans North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, covering key markets including the United States, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and several Southeast Asian countries.

Company leadership said the rapid growth of AI is driving demand for computing infrastructure, requiring access to land, power, connectivity, capital, and fast project execution. Damac Digital stated that its integrated operating model allows it to combine these elements within a single platform.

The company has already signed partnerships with five global hyperscalers and is developing capacity for large-scale cloud, AI, and enterprise workloads. Eight sites are expected to become operational by the end of 2026.

Damac Digital is aiming to get over 700MW of operational capacity across 14 plus sites by the first quarter of 2027. Additionally, by the end of the first quarter of 2028, it hopes to have 2GW of operational capacity.

Over the past five months, the company has started construction on 10 new sites as part of its accelerated development strategy. Damac Digital said its vertically integrated structure enables some projects in Asia to move from land acquisition to live operations within 12 months.

More than 90% of the company’s data centers are being designed with liquid cooling infrastructure to support advanced AI workloads and next-generation computing platforms. The company currently employs over 600 people across three continents to support its global expansion plans.
