Background-

Through a new programme with Dubai SME, Majid Al Futtaim is giving small businesses in the UAE access to its malls, cinemas and retail platforms, putting homegrown brands in front of a larger audience.

The initiative, rolled out through Ma’an, comes at a time when many businesses in the region are facing economic pressure. It seeks to provide entrepreneurs with opportunities to reach millions of consumers by using both physical and digital retail spaces. The company said the effort aligns with its commitment to strengthen local enterprises that play a key role in the UAE’s economy and community life.

Under the programme, selected businesses will receive access to month-long pop-up spaces across Majid Al Futtaim’s network. These include prominent locations such as Mall of the Emirates, THAT Concept Store, VOX Cinemas and Carrefour outlets. In addition, brands will also be featured on digital platforms, including the company’s SHARE loyalty programme.

The initiative lets small businesses put their products in front of a large audience and build brand visibility. Through space in high-footfall locations and digital channels, the company is opening up real opportunities for growth and wider market reach.

Majid Al Futtaim said the programme focuses on supporting entrepreneurs who contribute to the identity and vibrancy of local communities. It added that strengthening small businesses is especially important during challenging times, as they play a major role in sustaining economic activity.

The initiative is being rolled out in partnership with Dubai SME, which functions under the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, as part of broader efforts to promote entrepreneurship and business growth in the UAE.

Applications for the programme are now open, and small businesses across the UAE have been invited to apply for participation.
