Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation is accelerating, with 45.2% of internet users now using artificial intelligence tools, according to the Communications, Space and Technology Commission’s Saudi Internet Report 2025. The report also said average mobile data consumption has reached 53 GB per person each month.
The findings show that AI-powered applications, digital assistants, intelligent search and productivity tools are becoming part of everyday online activity. The report links this growth to Saudi Arabia’s wider Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to make technology and innovation important drivers of economic diversification.
Saudi Arabia also recorded a median mobile internet download speed of 216 Mbps, placing the Kingdom among the top five G20 countries for mobile broadband performance. The report credited continued investment in fibre networks, 5G deployment and next-generation telecommunications infrastructure for the strong connectivity.
Internet users in the Kingdom are also spending more time online. According to the report, 61.3% of users spend seven hours or more online each day. Digital platforms are now widely used for communication, entertainment, shopping, education and government services.
The report added that registrations of Saudi internet domain names increased by 18% year on year. This points to growing confidence in the local digital economy and the expansion of online businesses and digital content.
The CST report said Saudi Arabia is moving beyond basic digital infrastructure and building a more mature technology ecosystem. It added that demand for AI services, cloud platforms and high-performance connectivity is expected to continue growing.
