Background
Batelco by Beyon has launched a new mobile offering called ‘Postpaid World’, allowing customers to use their data and call minutes both locally and internationally under a single plan. The package starts at BD15 per month and aims to simplify connectivity for customers who travel frequently.
The company said the new service removes the need for additional setup, separate roaming activation or hidden roaming charges. Customers can continue using their existing mobile plans while travelling without changing SIM cards or managing multiple services.
The offering has been designed mainly for frequent travellers, including business professionals and commuters within the Gulf countries. With the integration of roaming services within the core monthly package, Batelco hopes to offer its clients an easier and cheaper solution.
According to the firm, the package will enable users to access over 140 destinations across the globe. The service is expected to reduce common travel-related concerns linked to mobile usage and international roaming.
Aseel Mattar, Chief Consumer Officer at Batelco by Beyon, said the company developed the plan after recognizing challenges faced by customers while managing mobile services during travel. She stated that users often deal with the inconvenience of activating roaming services or handling additional eSIMs when moving across countries.
She added that the new plan allows customers to use the same package at home and abroad, helping create a smoother and easier experience.
Batelco said the launch reflects its wider strategy of introducing services focused on convenience, simplicity and value for customers.
